This year, the contributions to SeedMoney Grant will be directed to the newest project the Haitian agriculture team, Planting for Hope and Future (PHF), who Harvesting 4 Haiti has supported since 2013, will be “Seeds that Feed Hope.” This project will be dedicated to growing quality seeds and disease resistant seeds to distribute to local farmers and Haitian organizations. Currently only 50% of seeds distributed in Haiti will germinate. The seeds PHF will be able to distribute are 100% effective and will encourage farmers to grow more nutritious food to benefit the population. The World Food Program states that one out of every two people in Haiti is either severely malnourished or has acute hunger. We hope you will help us change this drastic statistic.
